About Us

Family Paws is a family owned pet boutique developed by partners Bonnie and Benjamin.   

Our mission is to get pet owners to start thinking about the products they buy for their pets and themselves. We believe in cohesion between the functionality of a product, design and sustainability while supporting ethical and NZ businesses.  

  

Bonnie has over 10 year’s experience in the animal care industry, most recently working as an Explosive Detector Dog Handler. Bonnie started out as a veterinary nurse then moved on to becoming a carnivore Zoo Keeper after lovingly volunteering at the zoo’s animal hospital. 

  

  

We at Family Paws are dedicated to the welfare and enrichment of your pets life. We continue to search for the highest quality products and focusing on supporting local NZ made wherever possible. 

*** We are in process of restoring our heritage building, with future plans of opening up Nelson’s only inner city Doggy Day Care Centre and Groomers.
